Over the past several years, our Thanksgiving program has been one of the most appreciated events to many local families. With the holiday falling during a time of year of seasonal worker lay-offs, rising utilities costs and Christmas on the horizon, spending extra money on one meal is not an option for many families. Thanksgiving has long been a traditional day of gathering loved ones and taking a day to be thankful for the blessings we have which are not material things and are priceless. Providing a turkey and small gift card to shop for the items needed for their family meal has been met with a multitude of thankful tears from countless people who would not have the opportunity to celebrate without a helping hand.
.
Outside of financial assistance we are always looking for volunteers on the day of distribution, whether it be individuals, families or teams. We are always in need of heaters, tents, coffee, and snacks for volunteers that day.
Our garden project was launched in 2022 and has quickly become a valuable part of the community. With multiple garden locations and the use of an established greenhouse, we have been able to produce enough fresh produce to help supply our Market at the Heart and other local food banks in need. In addition the Elderly, Veterans and Single parent homes have been able to benefit from this fresh food grown with organic practices.
The garden project has also created a place where volunteers are able to gather, make friends and give those with a green thumb a place to share their expertise. This has also provided a place to learn, teach and mentor children, teens and adults. Community programs such as court ordered hours, recovery homes, service groups, and youth projects have enjoyed the many benefits of helping our community through this program. Master Gardeners have been able to share gardening tips and ways to increase production to benefit those who are in need of fresh healthy food.
Outside of financial assistance other donations accepted are soil, gardening tools, seeds, gloves, and volunteer hours are always appreciated.

Heart Recovery was created to accumulate resources and finances to help individuals who are struggling with a stronghold or addiction get the help they need to take their lives back, whether it be classes, counseling, mentorship or inpatient services. Our goal is to work hand and hand with the community to fill the gap that so many seem to fall through.
One of the biggest and often most difficult decisions for a person is to realize and confess they need help. That in itself is a huge step. It is vital at this moment to plug them into their needed resource immediately. The average cost of inpatient treatment is $7-10,000, outpatient $1,000-$1,500, counseling $60-$100 per hour. The majority of people in this position do not carry valid insurance or have the finances to pay for the help they need. You may know someone who may be in this situation. In that case please contact us at heartreachincorporated@gmail.com with any questions. We’d love to help!
With your help and the help of the community we can be there when they are ready to take that next step. Please consider making a donation today; you could literally be saving a life!
